Your friends came to you and said, "You look awful today." You decided to look at the mirror to check on your hairdo, your make-up, your outfit, your stockings and your shoes. Everything look decent and pleasing. Then they turned around and said, "We are only joking" and started giggling. You felt embarrassed. Anger arose in you because your friends have started to feel uneasy at your present.
The same friends came to you and said, "You smell terrible today." You decided to go to a washroom to wash your face, blow your nose, rinse your mouth, clean your teeth, clear your throat, put on perfume and deodorant, and smell your undergarment and your socks (if necessary). Everything smell sweet and nice. Then they turned around and said, "We are only joking" and started smirking. You felt foolish. You hid your face in shame because your friends have started to envy you.
The same friends came to you and said, "You speak horribly today." You decided to go to your inner room to scrutinize your papers and examine your public performance. Everything is done most efficiently and effectively. The audiences were thrilled with your well-presented speech or artwork. Then they turned around and said, "We are only joking" and started sneering. You felt hurt. Your body stiffened and your hands were clenched into tight fists because your friends have started to attack you.
Every institution needs a good team of dedicated and devoted members. Every member plays different role according to their intelligence and abilities, and also the organization's needs. There is none who is a master of every trade. The hand cannot say to the foot that it is not needed because the whole body functions as one unit. The head cannot say to the body that it is not needed because the head cannot carry out the plans it makes without the body. Each one in the organization complements and supplements one another for the organization to stand up, stand secured, and ready to spread its wings.
We must stop grumbling and envying. Stop backbiting and openly attack each other. Stop every inclination to dominate and every attempt to withdraw. Play your part well, make the tasks of others easier and better, work together as a team and stay focused at work. Victory is at hand. May God bless us all in all our endeavours and undertakings. Amen.
